impressive classic racewear for melbourne spring racing

Classic Racewear !!! – Winning looks – Caulfield Cup 2013 – Fashions on the Field (Part 3)

Racing Fashion Inspiration – Classic Racewear

The classics are always a winner in the fashion stakes. Pencil skirts, cinched waist, gloves and pillbox hats. Custom made hats are what finishes off an outfit perfectly as they are made specifically to match what you are wearing. Custom made hats are not much more expensive than buying them from the retail stores so it would be worth chatting to a milliner if you want to dress to impress.

Beige is nearly as big as white as the colour of the season. One lovely lady chose a splash of red for a bright contrast. We love her custom made hat and that handbag!

 Shining Rose

Wow, how gorgeous is this over-sized rose headpiece in shiny black! Florals are really in fashion this year and it looks like it doesn’t necessarily have to be colourful to draw attention. When the hat is this large, it is a good idea to keep the outfit nice and fitted to balance out the look. The patent leather bag and shiny tips of the shoes compliment this outfit really well.

Classic Couture

A very classy ensemble of beige and red. The dress is a classic cut with a little sheerness to add some interest. The gorgeous smile and accessories are what makes this look stand out in a crowd.

 Princess Style

The lovely lady in these photos informed me that this hat was worn to the Royal Ascot Races in England earlier this year. Princess Beatrice touched it and commented on how lovely it was! This look is very polished and is fit for royalty.
