AAfter attending the Jazz preview night last Wednesday at Chapel Off Chapel, I was bitten by the Jazz bug and had to have more. I had not heard of Mandy Meadows before, but some Jazz, Soul, Motown and Blues sounded good. The Stonnington Jazz festival is currently running until May 26th with some fabulous talent to go and see!
Jazz in Melbourne – Mandy Meadows
Mandy Meadows brings down the house with her amazing vocal range and pick of familiar tunes. Her rendition of the Alicia Keys song ‘If I don’t have you’, had me mesmerised.
Globe Cafe in Prahran
The Globe Cafe in Prahran is a small and intimate venue, perfect for a jazz gig such as this one. The sound and ambience was just right. There is a bar upstairs to provide you with drinks while you enjoy the acts. It was the first time I had ventured into this cafe and which regularly provides live music.
