Fabulous Femme loves high tea! Mix in some Amy Winehouse tunes and you’ve got one unforgettable afternoon. Why don’t you grab some friends and come along to Globe Cafe in Prahran on Saturday the 6th of July at 4pm, for some decadent sweets while watching Amy Winehouse (performed by Moogy). This is all part of Melbourne’s Cabaret Festival.

There are some fabulous cabaret acts lined up throughout the Festival which will be worth checking out and heading off to see:

  • Mariam Waks – Songs from the Open Road
    Mariam shares with us stories and songs from her years of travelling around many different countries through Asia, Europe and the Americas.
  • Tamara Kuldin’s Jewettes
    Laugh, cry, sing and eat while listening to songs and stories of famous Jewish females from the 1920’s till now.
  • Craig Schneider
    Telling Peter Allen’s life story through music and his own interpretation of Peter’s songs.
  • Peter Hurley
    Laughing Behind the Piano. Peter, who has been involved in the Melbourne Cabaret scene for a long time, sings songs of old and new. He will entertain you with stories about things which made him laugh.
  • Rebecca Moore – Like Love.
    Rebecca shares some great romantic songs from jazz, pop and music theatre. An enjoyable show for lovebirds or lovers of love songs.
  • Matthew Robinson – New Voices.
    An intimate one-act event featuring music from musicals – Metro Street, Happy People and Atlantis.
  • Josh Levy and Fem Belling – Another Day, Songs of Josh Levy.
    Song writer and pianist, Josh Levy, join forces with jazz singer, Fem Belling (The Boy from Oz), to bring you songs which are filled with wit, humour and heart.

Moogy – Presents Amy Winehouse and Amy Winehouse’s “High” Tea.

Moogy, hair in the “beehive”, will entertain us with songs from the late and very talented, Amy Winehouse. Amy’s most loved songs included “Valerie”,” You know I’m no good” and “Rehab”. From French Chanson to modern classics, Moogy has delighted audiences with her unique musical stylings which lend themselves beautifully to Winehouse’s songbook.

Belgian-Australian singer/songwriter trained in classical and jazz piano. Moogy has been in the Melbourne music scene since 2000 and writing/producing her own music from an early age. Check out Moogy on Soundcloud. 

The Saturday’s show includes an indulgent “High” tea.

Dinner Shows in Melbourne

Whether you’re after some laughs or some love songs, there’s an artist to suit everyone. There are dinner shows, supper shows and the high tea show which we’re headed to! Pass the winter away with some heart warming entertainment during the Melbourne Cabaret Festival.
