Taste By Appointment – Grey Goose at St Crispin

Well, didn’t we feel very spoilt! An exclusive invite to join other bloggers and foodies to indulge in an experience which definitely put our senses in a happy place. The Taste By Appointment event was hosted by Grey Goose ambassador, Andy Wren. St Crispin in Collingwood prepared a special menu for us to compliment the Grey Goose vodka cocktails which explored the flavours of sweet, salty, sour and umami (savoury).

Guests were invited to create their own cocktails, myself failing miserably in creating something which I’d love! I went a little overboard with the lemon juice. Best to leave it to the experts who shook fabulous bespoke cocktails with simple instructions thrown at them, such as ‘neat, and a little bit sweet’.

Taste by Appointment – by Grey Goose

St Crispin is a stylish and hip place which is wonderfully suited to Smith Street, with a bar upstairs (Thomas Olive Bar) for those who are after a quiet place to drink some amazing cocktails. The three course meal was both delicious and impressive, including a main of Wagyu beef fillet and cheek. Our taste buds were left tingling at the end with a serving of trigeminal chocolates – three different flavoured chocolates to tantalise your trigeminal nerve! We’re definitely heading back for more.

Andy Wren was a fabulous host, guiding us through the whole experience and teaching us the art of really enjoying our cocktails. We were invited to ‘steal’ the gorgeous little metal stirrers which were especially made for the Taste By Appointment events. Check our little video out to see why these things came home with us!

Thanks for the wonderful experience, Grey Goose and St Crispin!
