French Dressing

Parisian Style in Melbourne – Luvalot

The title may suggest it but this post has nothing to do with salad dressing. Sorry to disappoint you.

I’m always looking for an excuse to dress up, and what a better excuse than an invite for High Tea at Little Collins Kitchen which is situated inside the Sheraton, Melbourne. The Parisian influenced venue called for something easy yet stylish, something very French.

The peach and lavender watercolour floral print on this top and skirt set was too hard to resist, especially with it’s low price tag! The skirt length is very ladylike, my favourite length in fact. Skirts that fall just below the knees, whether on a flared skirt or pencil skirt, are so flattering for most body shapes.

Although it is a crop, this top meets nicely with the top of the skirt so it doesn’t show too much skin. You might not even have noticed that it was a top and skirt set! The outfit allows for some mixing and matching with other pieces for versatile wearing.

Luvalot

This label is Luvalot, found in a small boutique in Westfield Doncaster called Paper Kites. Head there for some very affordable pieces for your summer events. It’s a store where I haven’t found anything which appealed to me in the past, but this I got lucky this time. The pastel pink pointed heels are from Wittner, and floral accessories are from Lovisa.

You could also wear this pretty ensemble to a garden party, as a wedding guest or to the races. It looks like designer wear without the price tag. Definitely a head turner. I’m very particular with quality when it comes to all my outfits and this one is quite well constructed with good fabric and fit. Can’t wait to wear it again!
