Congratulations to Emily Hunter, winner of the Melbourne Cup Fashions on the Field competition. With so many ladies looking amazing in racing outfits, it is always a tough job for the judges to choose just one winner. There was a great mix of custom made and off-the-rack outfits.

Emily stood out from the crowd in a very classy navy blue dress (made by mum), a pink lace fascinator (Lisa Schaeffer Millinery) and yellow heels. She earned herself one of the three places in the Victorian final, where the winners of Derby Day and Oaks Day will compete against her.
Melbourne Cup Fashions on the Field Winner – A design by her mum
Emily’s inspiration for her outfit came from Pinterest. She took the design to her mother, Angela, who created it over two days. Angela was not able to be present when her daughter won on Melbourne Cup Day but she was there to see Emily win the Victorian final, then the National final. It is so apparent how close this family is!
