AA lovely stylist dropped by three gorgeous tutus for me to use for a photo shoot and the fairy tale theme instantly appealed to me. There is something magical about running around in a tutu. You feel an instant transformation the moment you step into one! I was a princess running around my castle grounds! The castle grounds were in fact the Carlton Gardens in Melbourne’s CBD, a very popular backdrop for Melbourne brides. Even mid-week during working hours we were vying for space with a couple of other photographers and their bride and groom. I’m sure the weekend would see many more wedding couples!
Tulle and Lace
Tulle always looks so romantic and feminine. Add a little lace top, a diamante headband and the princess look was complete. There were plenty of admirers, including some children frolicking in the autumn leaves. I did the right thing and offered to have a photo taken with them!
Princess Bride – A Melbourne Fairy Tale Photo Shoot
I’m not sure which character I was portraying here as I can’t recall any fairy tale princesses wearing black! I guess I felt most like Cinderella because she was the most stylish of all the princesses, with her fairy-godmother as her stylist! Cinderella got to wear three different dresses to Prince Charming’s balls, and I have three different tutus to do photo shoots with! My three year old son informs me that I don’t have the right tiara for a princess and that I must go get another one! Oh dear! No time for that today. The photos are beautiful and it was so much fun running around in a tutu for the day.
