Lady of Leisure Millinery
Before Spring hits us, before I photograph her newest collection, I thought I’d share some creations which I shot for Lady of Leisure Millinery last year. This was also before Georgia Love was Australia’s Bachellorette!
Headbands are still so fashionable this year and they look to dominate during the 2017 Spring Racing season. While flower crowns are popular, Lady of Leisure Millinery creates sculpturing pieces using interesting mediums such as plastic, metal rods and laser-cut pieces to adorn her clients heads.
These pieces are meticulously put together and will subtly compliment an outfit rather than overpower it. The pieces are interesting and will make great conversation starters amongst the fashionable race-goers. Headbands will sit comfortably on your head and won’t weigh you down or (hopefully) fly away with a moderate breeze.
Lisa Leverington of Lady of Leisure millinery is Melbourne based and supplies Myer with her pieces. She supplies hats around Australia and internationally. Her entry into last year’s millinery completion saw her take out third place with her entry made from over 200 copper rods.
Enjoy her ‘Madness in Marrakesh’ collection featuring the lovely Georgia Love as model.
