Ok, so here is my dress which I had made in Vietnam at Yaly Couture in Hoi An. I loved wearing it and received so many compliments on it. One young lady asked me where I got it from as she had something in the same print. It happened that she too had it made at the same place during her visit to Vietnam!
The cocktail hat was something which was reasonably quick to put together, thanks to the House of Adorn. This place has all your hat making needs! There’s no need for hat blocks or even having to make your own flowers, just some creativity and sewing (or glueing) skills. This style of hat would retail for no less than $200. The materials cost me approximately $50 and some of my time and creative juices. The hat complimented my dress perfectly and didn’t get in the way when I was photographing.
Admittedly I had no time to break in my gorgeous peep-toe, bowed heels from Ninewest. Boy, did I have sore feet! I made it through the day by giving my feet a quick massage during the day to get some circulation back into them! Taking a break to sit down helps a lot too. Let’s hope I can break in the pair I intend to wear this weekend!
