… we love to capture “MELBOURNE” & Fashion …
Melbourne has so many gorgeous architectural landmarks which we are going to use as backdrops for our photo shoots. This AAMI Park Stadium is one of them. It’s has clean lines and looks like soccer balls. We drive past it all the time and my little boy calls it the “Pretty Lights Stadium” because at night it is illuminated by the changing coloured lights. What a great idea it was to do a photo shoot here. This venue allowed me to wear my favourite winter colour – black.
The AAMi Park Stadium called for a modern, edgy outfit. This gorgeous puff-sleeve, mini dress is a recent purchase by the label, Elly M. I picked it up from my local op shop for five dollars! Op shops are not as daggy as you may think. It’s a good way to update your wardrobe without going broke! Of course you will find better items in the fancier suburbs such as Camberwell, Hawthorn and luckily in my suburb – Doncaster. Black is a style that is never out of fashion, especially not here in Melbourne. I do wear lots of colour but black is always a favourite.
These Boots Weren’t Made For Walking!
I’ve had these knee high, killer heel boots from Zu sitting in my wardrobe for quite a while now. They were only worn once previously and I even managed to dance in them! The heels are ridiculously high, to the point that I almost topple over forward when I’m walking in them! Because of the price that I paid for them and the gorgeous soft leather that they are made from, I couldn’t bring myself to sell them off or throw them out. Recently, I started wearing heels again for all these fabulous fashion shoots on this blog. This gave me confidence to put these boots on again, just to get some shots of them. They were just as bad as I remembered! I managed to walk around carefully in them and the photos were worth the bit of discomfort that the boots caused..
It was slightly awkward walking around the stadium with all those footballers staring! This also makes the AAMI Park Stadium a great place for the girls to watch the footballers in action! It’s not a usual sight to see someone walking around in thigh high boots and a mini dress in the middle of the day, even in a big city like Melbourne. Being very professional, we ignored the attention and got the job done.
