My winter wardrobe just became more beautiful with some new additions from the Jeanswest new winter range. They must have heard about my new found love of greys and muted colours. Beautiful textures give these winter essentials added warmth and prevent it all from looking a little bland. I’m especially loving the soft fur trims brushing against my neck and cheeks. Most importantly, these winter pieces give me the warmth I need to see the cold season through.

A beautiful sunny Melbourne winter day
On this particular Melbourne day, it wasn’t so cold and the sun was shining so beautifully. The horizon was still and lined with sailing boats. The beach and pier was fairly empty, most likely because people thought it would be too cold down there. It was the ideal condition for us to head down for a photo shoot. Equipped with my warm jackets, the cold was not a deterrent and I was able to enjoy the beach that day.
We had spent a lovely weekend, staying overnight at the Olsen in South Yarra and exploring it’s culture. After a night of indulgence (involving a few cocktails with friends) we appreciated some quiet time strolling along Port Melbourne and Albert Park before heading off to pick up the kids. It amazed us to see how many young, scantily clad ladies were running around in the middle of a very chilly winter’s night. Were we all so immune to the cold once upon a time?
