The Emirates Marquee never fails to impress with a new theme each year. This time around the airline chose to bring Dubai to Melbourne – Hello Dubai!
We were lucky enough to be allowed a brief visit to take a look inside this extravagant hotspot which plays host to celebrities and VIPs during the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
A camel statue sits at the entrance and the beautiful ladies in their stylish uniforms greet guests with warm smiles.
White orchids and pale green hydrangeas adorned the path up towards a spacious room which was furnished in true Arabian style. It was just as if we had stepped into a venue somewhere in Dubai.
There were ornamental lanterns strung from the ceiling, seats with colourful cushions, red rosebuds in vases and decorative door frames. In the center of the room was a star shaped seating bench which held rose petals floating in water. The Emirates Marquee also boasts a large balcony which overlooks the racecourse, providing their guests with an unobstructed view.
On offer for their guests were pampering rooms where those with tired, sore feet were treated to a foot massage! Maybe we’ll get lucky one day and be invited as guests so that we too can have happy feet!
The Emirates Marquee is a classy, quiet and spacious place where guests can relax and enjoy the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.
