It was tightly packed at the La Maison G.H. Mumm Marquee on Derby Day, making the balcony the best option for me to grab some great photos from. G.H. Mumm is the official Champagne sponsor of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, with an estimated 12,000 bottles to be consumed during this event.
Everyone was there to either drown their thirst with delicious G.H. Mumm Champagne, or to enjoy the Moulin Rouge dancers who had travelled all the way from the iconic cabaret house, Moulin Rouge, in Paris! The show, which consisted of 16 dancers, brought the house down!
Ladies, and a gent, swept us all away to Paris in a show which I personally had not experienced live before. There were frilly dresses in French colours being tossed in all directions, skimpy body suits which left very little for the imagination, cartwheels and high-kicks, feathers and beads. This was a sumptuous visual treat!
