Oaks Day was nick-named “Blokes Day” for a good reason (formerly known as “Ladies Day” ;-). This is the day that the best outfits are saved for. I wonder what Chloe Moo (the winner of the Fashions on the Field National title) would have worn if she hadn’t won on Melbourne Cup Day!

Ashleigh Barri was crowned best dressed on the day wearing a stunning lace dress with a huge disc hat. With Coco Rocha turning up in her lace Anthony Capon designed dress, it came as no surprise that Ashleigh’s outfit was chosen as the winner of the day, with the runner-up also in an avant-garde outfit. There were so many stunning dresses that day!
So this year saw the custom made race wear dominating the competitions yet again. It’s a tough competition to win, but it seems that keeping it unique and classy is the key.
